    With COVID-19 still wreaking havoc on our world, more business owners are forced to jump into the online world and start teaching virtually.  While you may be used to standing on a stage, in a conference room full of people or at an in-person event, this is no longer an option.  Entrepreneurs, who weren’t in the online space, suddenly had to get familiar with a new way of sharing valuable content – hosting webinars.

    But the thing is, webinars and online classes have been around for years.  You have probably attended many yourself.  But now, they are taking place everywhere and by everyone.  One of my clients today asked me to help her set up virtual events for teaching Kundalini yoga classes.

    If you haven’t jumped on this bandwagon yet, you are missing out on a great opportunity to capitalize on this fast-growing content medium.  So if you’re “on the fence” or thinking about dipping your toe in the webinar market, here are some great reasons to jump now.

    Nothing Outweighs LIVE Interaction

    There are so many ways to share valuable content.  Blogging showcases your writing.  Social media posts allow for creative graphics and fun content.  Video provides an experiential element to your personality.  But a webinar gives people YOU!  You, in your fullest and most energetic space.  A webinar is the closest thing people can get, aside from having you in the room with them.

    People today are craving connection, intimacy, and real human interaction.  They can’t get that from any means of content other than live speaking or virtual webinars.  Your clients and prospects need to see your face, your expressions, and your body language.  They need to hear your voice, your energy, your laughter, and your unique personality.  This is the way they start to know you, like you, and trust you.

    Webinars Reach People Around the World

    About a year ago, I was working with a client who wanted to do in-person events to teach her concepts.  I remember thinking to myself (and eventually expressing to her) why wouldn’t she want to go virtual so her reach and potential is so much larger?  When you use webinars to share your content, literally anyone from around the world with a computer and a solid internet connection can join and learn from you.

    One of the most fun parts of taking part in a large webinar is when the host asks “tell us where you’re calling in from.”  I love it when people from other countries, states, and cities have joined in.  Webinars enable us to connect with one another.  They remind us that we can make connections no matter where we live.

    And if we can host a webinar that draws people from all over the world, then that means we can have a global business.  In an online business, we are not limited to where our clients live.  How exciting is that to know you could have a client in Australia, the UK, South Africa, and Canada?  Kind of reminds you that abundance is everywhere and nothing can stop you from building your business.

    Webinars Allow for Content Creativity

    In just the past couple of months, our team has helped our clients put together several webinars.  We have taught single women how to raise their dating IQ, helped athletes eliminate stress through self-hypnosis, and connected individuals to their highest values.  If you think about it, there is so much creativity and opportunity to provide amazing content and solve problems for people everywhere.

    Webinars are so popular that people have now gotten creative with what they call webinars.  You will hear these names as well:

    • Masterclasses
    • Bootcamps
    • Labs
    • Workshops
    • Intensives
    • Launchpads
    • Challenges

    Think about what pain point or desire you would like to solve for your potential clients.  What can you teach for 60-120 minutes to create an immediate ROI for your prospects?  Not only can you get creative with the content and the name, you can get creative with the delivery.  You don’t have to deliver your webinar in one shot.  Divide it up over a three-day or five-day period to offer bite-size chunks for your students.  This enables your audience to easily digest your content while also building a stronger relationship with you.

    Evergreen Content Saves Time

    Webinars should be recorded and used over and over again.  How many times have you signed up for a webinar and were unable to attend, either knowingly or unknowingly?  People today expect that they can sign up and watch a recording later.  We are all busy with varying commitments.  We can’t possibly pick the ideal day and time to host a webinar and expect that it will work for everyone’s schedule.  So in this way, although live attendance is the best, you won’t miss out on people who still value what you have to share.

    If you put a lot of time and effort into creating a great webinar, the last thing you want to do is host it once and be done.  You can host your webinar many times to multiple audiences.  You can add pieces and subtract pieces depending on your audience feedback.  And lastly, you can use the recording of your webinar in multiple ways.  You can use pieces for social media, running FB ads, or video marketing.  Using your evergreen webinar is perfect for launches.

    Webinars are Perfect for Service or Product Launches

    Kelly Roach, the international bestselling author of Unstoppable, teaches The Live Launch Method for launching your program offers.  I am a huge fan of her simple, yet effective method.  At the heart of her launch method is the webinar.  Not a single session webinar but a live interactive experience where the entrepreneur provides solid value for a period of 5-10 days.

    Think about it like having a series of five mini webinars and on the fifth day, introducing your paid offer.  If you are providing such great value and your students are receiving massive results from your live launch, it’s a no brainer for them to want to invest more to work with you.

    These days there are so many online businesses with offers that you really have no choice but to use live webinars to create an intimate and value-rich opportunity for prospects to know, like, and trust you.  In the end, remember people do business with people.  Use the webinar to provide immediate and lasting results for your clients and they will happily pay money for your offer.
